As a key member of our drilling team, the Drill Lead will oversee the operation of the drill crew and rig, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality drilling activities. Key Responsibilities- Supervise drilling activities, including setup, operation, and maintenance of the drill rig and equipment.
- Coordinate with drilling assistants to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Identify and address any maintenance or repair needs for the drill rig and equipment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with project engineers and supervisors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Develop and implement procedures for drilling operations, including quality control and safety protocols.
- Train and mentor drilling assistants to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Strong technical knowledge of drilling operations and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Class A or B Driver's License and a valid driver's record.
- Current CDL.
- Experience with drilling operations and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
This role operates primarily in a field environment, with occasional work in an office setting. The Drill Lead will be required to work in outdoor conditions, including uneven terrain and adverse weather.
The successful candidate will be required to maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, as well as comply with DOT driver regulations.
