Position Overview:

True North Home Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Nurse Assistant to oversee our team of Professional Care Providers. The CNA Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality of care delivered to our clients and reports directly to the Office Manager and CEO, who is a Registered Nurse. All care providers and CNAs will look to the CNA Supervisor for guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews, hire, and train new Care Providers (caregivers).
  • Facilitate a comprehensive orientation and onboarding process for all new care providers to ensure they are well-prepared and supported in their roles.
  • Provide skills training to both CNAs and unlicensed care providers, covering essential activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hoyer lift operation, sit/stand lift usage, catheter care, and more.
  • Assist the CEO and Office Manager/Scheduler with administrative tasks and provide hands-on support in the field as needed.
  • Address challenges such as high employee turnover rates, unpredictable scheduling due to client needs, and the necessity for flexibility in response to changing circumstances.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Office Manager or CEO.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active CNA License; LPNs are also welcome to apply. (CMA, MA, and phlebotomist certifications are not accepted.)
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong nursing assistant skills.
  • Solid mathematical abilities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Patience and resilience in handling client and employee feedback.
  • Professional demeanor in all communications and conduct.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with potential shifts starting as early as 7 AM and ending as late as 11 PM.
  • Current Driver's License and active car insurance.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, reaching, standing, and sitting.

Working Environment:

  • Work will be conducted in an office setting and in the field as necessary.
  • Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with a weekend on-call rotation.
  • May require occasional weeknight work.
  • On-call supervisors are responsible for managing coverage for any call-outs.
  • Overtime may be necessary.
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break when working in the office.
  • Quiet office environment with private workspace.
  • Regular interviews with care providers will be part of the daily routine.
  • Ability to work with pets, as many clients have animals.
  • Must have reliable transportation to service areas.

Compensation: $25.00 per hour
