Position Overview: Wastewater Operations Supervisor

This position is responsible for managing the daily functions of the Wastewater Treatment Facility. Key duties include overseeing staff training and management, ensuring facility upkeep, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and keeping all necessary documentation current. Additional responsibilities encompass sampling in accordance with EPA regulations and adhering to company policies as well as various regulatory requirements.

Primary Duties:
  • Leadership of the Wastewater Department
  • Oversight of Wastewater personnel
  • Conducting essential tests for effective water treatment
  • Educating staff on best practices to comply with municipal and state regulations
  • Maintaining precise records and ensuring documentation is regularly updated
  • Collecting and submitting mandatory water samples
  • Implementing safety measures
  • Supervising cleaning and maintenance operations

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: An Associate's Degree, Vocational/Technical certification, or equivalent experience is required. A Bachelor's Degree is advantageous.

Experience & Skills:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Proven leadership capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable compliance standards, including EPA regulations
  • Must possess a Class III Waste Water License or be able to obtain one within twelve months of employment
