Position Overview:

Role Identification:

Are you interested in contributing to the advancement of wireless silicon technology? The wireless SOC division is dedicated to all facets of wireless silicon innovation, focusing on energy-efficient designs and pioneering technologies that enhance user experiences at the product level. This initiative is supported by a highly skilled, vertically integrated engineering team that encompasses RF/Analog architecture, Systems/PHY/MAC architecture, VLSI/RTL design, Emulation, Design Verification, Testing, and Firmware/Software engineering.

We welcome candidates who are eager to tackle the challenges associated with RF/Wireless Design Validation Testing (DVT).

As part of this role, individuals will collaborate with PHY, MAC, RFIC circuit designers, and system integration engineers to:
Conduct RF bench testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating RF Wireless SoC performance.

Individuals will be responsible for automating these tasks and/or assisting in the formulation of testing protocols, particularly for repetitive tasks or those requiring extensive setup.

Responsibilities:
  • Development of tools and software for automating testing equipment, onboard circuitry, and device configurations; experience with server/client communication is advantageous.
  • Crafting scripts to visualize, interpret, and analyze extensive datasets.
  • Producing RF design, verification, and testing reports in collaboration with RF, systems, and integration teams.
Essential Qualifications:

Proficient software and scripting capabilities with a solid understanding of Wireless RF systems fundamentals.

Demonstrated experience in creating software tools and scripts for RF parametric testing, including EVM, RX sensitivity, ACPR, and blocker testing.

Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting and object-oriented programming languages, particularly Python, is mandatory.

In-depth knowledge of testing instruments such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, and vector signal generators.

Ability to assess quality metrics for digital communication signals.

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; a Master's degree is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range.

The salary range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, with the final amount based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to participate in discretionary employee stock programs, including the potential for restricted stock unit awards and discounted stock purchases through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
