This effort is supported by a top-tier, vertically integrated engineering team that encompasses RF/Analog architecture and design, Systems/PHY/MAC architecture and design, VLSI/RTL design and integration, Emulation, Design Verification, Testing and Validation, along with Firmware/Software engineering.

In this engineering role, candidates will collaborate with PHY, MAC, RFIC circuit designers, and system integration engineers to:
Conduct RF bench testing, troubleshoot, and characterize the performance of RF Wireless SoCs.

Candidates will be tasked with automating these processes and/or defining testing protocols, particularly for repetitive tasks or those requiring extensive setup.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop tools and software for automating test equipment, onboard circuitry, and device configurations; experience with server/client communication is advantageous.
  • Create scripts to plot, parse, and analyze extensive datasets.
  • Generate RF design, verification, and testing reports in collaboration with RF, systems, and integration teams.
Key Qualifications:

Proficient software and scripting skills with a solid understanding of Wireless RF systems fundamentals.

Demonstrated experience in developing software tools and scripts for RF parametric testing, including EVM, RX sensitivity, ACPR, and blocker testing.

Knowledge of Unix/Linux scripting and object-oriented programming languages such as Python is essential.

Strong familiarity with test instruments, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, and vector signal generators.

Ability to apply basic metrics for assessing the quality of digital communication signals.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; a Master's degree is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range.

The base salary range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, with the final amount depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs, including eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and discounted stock purchases through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
