The wireless SOC division at Apple is dedicated to pioneering developments in wireless silicon, focusing on energy-efficient designs and innovative technologies that enhance user experiences. This initiative is supported by a top-tier engineering team specializing in RF/Analog architecture, Systems/PHY/MAC design, VLSI/RTL integration, Emulation, Design Verification, Testing, and Firmware/Software engineering.

We welcome applications from individuals eager to engage in challenging roles within RF/Wireless Design Validation Testing (DVT).

In this role, you will collaborate with PHY, MAC, and RFIC circuit designers, as well as system integration engineers, to conduct:
RF bench evaluations, troubleshooting, and performance characterization of RF Wireless SoCs.

Your responsibilities will include automating these tasks and defining testing protocols, particularly for repetitive tasks or those requiring extensive setup.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development of tools and software for automating testing equipment, onboard circuitry, and device configurations; familiarity with server/client communication is advantageous.
  • Creation of scripts for plotting, parsing, and analyzing extensive datasets.
  • Collaboration with RF, systems, and integration teams to generate RF design, verification, and testing reports.
Essential Qualifications:

Proficient software and scripting skills with a solid foundation in Wireless RF systems principles.

Extensive experience in developing software tools and scripts for RF parametric testing, including EVM, RX sensitivity, ACPR, and blocker testing.

Proficiency in Unix/Linux scripting and object-oriented programming languages such as Python is essential.

Strong understanding of testing instruments, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, and vector signal generators.

Familiarity with basic metrics for assessing the quality of digital communication signals.

Education & Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth and advancement as you develop in your role.

The base salary range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Employees may also qualify for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
