Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sanitation Manager to oversee the sanitation departments at our facilities in Arkansas. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Sanitation Policies: Create and enforce sanitation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GFSI, state and federal food safety regulations.
  • Manage Sanitation Departments: Oversee the daily operations of the sanitation departments at both locations, including resource allocation, training, and supervising the sanitation staff with 2 direct reports and 45 or more sanitation team members.
  • Conduct Regular Inspections: Conduct regular monitoring and trending inspections/audits to ensure the facility meets the sanitary standards required for food manufacturing.
  • Coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, and Maintenance departments to schedule cleanings and minimize downtime.
  • Train and Certify Team Members: Train and certify team members on proper sanitation techniques and the use of chemicals safely.
  • Manage Cleaning Chemicals and Supplies: Monitor the use and inventories of cleaning chemicals and supplies, ensuring efficient use and reordering as necessary.
  • Stay Current with Industry Developments: Stay current with advancements in sanitation practices and technologies and apply best practices.
  • Prepare Regulatory Reports: Prepare reports and documentation required for regulatory compliance and internal standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 Years of Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in an industrial food sanitation role, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, FDA, and/or USDA regulations.
  • Audit Experience: Experience in BRC or SPF audits.
  • Leadership and Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Team Management: Ability to train and motivate a diverse team.
  • Problem-Solving and Multitasking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and industry-related software.
