We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Wellpath. As a key member of our nursing department, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the nursing staff and operations of our facility to ensure that patients receive high-quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage nursing staff, including performance reviews, hiring, and disciplinary action.
- Evaluate patient care quality and implement improvement initiatives, collaborating with Nurse Managers and the Director of Nursing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
- Participate in policy and procedure development and hospital-wide employee orientations.
- Provide professional nursing care as needed to respond to workload demands or staffing shortages.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Three (3) years' experience in a psychiatric inpatient setting with an additional two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Two (2) years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working exclusively with individuals diagnosed with mental illness or multiple disabilities.
- Regulatory agency knowledge, including The Joint Commission, DHSS, and Centers for Medicaid/Medicare Services, is preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment.
