Key Responsibilities of a Nurse Practitioner:

1. Execute Physician's Orders and adhere to all Medical Protocols as directed.
2. Collaborate with and support the Medical Director.
3. Conduct thorough assessments and continuous monitoring of patients.
4. Uphold Universal Precautions throughout the unit.
5. Observe and evaluate patients for symptoms, following prescribed treatment plans.
6. Respond to emergencies and facilitate immediate referrals.
7. Document services provided to each patient in compliance with licensure standards.
8. Safeguard the confidentiality of all patient and facility information.
9. Maintain ongoing Training & Continuing Education.
10. Adhere to Standards of Ethical Conduct.
11. Follow all Time Wellness Policies and Procedures.

In addition, you will:
• Meet with patients seeking medical attention to assess the urgency of their needs and expedite care as necessary.
• Assist in educating patients about psychiatric care under the guidance of the Medical Director.
• Facilitate medication education for new and existing patients starting new medications.
• Collaborate with therapists to share insights regarding patient medical issues.
• Support the treatment team in integrating medical considerations into treatment planning.
• Participate in regular meetings with the Program Director to address specific patient concerns.
• Engage in departmental and staff meetings.
• Promote efficient use of supplies and equipment to minimize waste.
• Ensure effective communication between external medical services and the facility.

Essential Work Habits:
• Complete tasks efficiently and punctually, with minimal absences; arrive on time and prepared for shifts.
• Work collaboratively as a team member, contributing positively to staff morale.
• Keep current with training in CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Infection Control, and other mandated areas.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in response to changing work conditions.
• Exhibit objectivity and composure under pressure.
• Accept and utilize supervision effectively.
• Address any issues raised by supervisors promptly.

Protecting patient privacy is paramount. Adhere to Time Wellness' privacy policies and procedures as mandated by federal and state laws, ensuring professionalism as a healthcare provider. Non-compliance with these policies may lead to disciplinary action, including termination. Access to protected health information (PHI) is limited to what is necessary for job responsibilities, and sharing such information is restricted to those with a legitimate need to know for treatment, payment, or operational purposes.

We encourage reporting any concerns regarding privacy policies without fear of retaliation.
