Billing Specialist III

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and uphold processes to prepare client invoices and comprehensive reconciliations, secure necessary approvals, distribute client bills, and update financial records.

  • Oversee the resolution of standard billing inquiries managed by Support Specialists.
  • Conduct contract analysis to guarantee precise transaction and product fees.
  • Manage requests for implementation and other ad hoc credits, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and appropriate approvals, while following up on PBM reimbursement statuses as applicable.
  • Collaborate with other accounting divisions to comprehend and enhance the influence of billing procedures on accounts receivable, commissions, and accounts payable workflows.
  • Regularly engage with clients and internal Account Managers, aiding with billing inquiries and providing supporting documentation.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with PBM contacts to ensure timely and accurate receipt of necessary billing information.
  • Leverage expertise and internal/external resources to address client inquiries and verify invoice accuracy.
  • Review customer auto-draft payments and the application of customer credits.
  • Perform additional billing administrative tasks as required by management.
  • Participate in cross-training within the Accounting department as necessary.
  • Handle special projects and process enhancements as needed.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Experienced billing personnel (minimum of 2 years in billing processing or accounts receivable roles).
  • Preferred but not mandatory: B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
  • Proven ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • Strong understanding of billing and accounts receivable transactions and processes.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player; proactive and committed to completing tasks effectively.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and the ability to work accurately with figures are crucial.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $47,830 - $56,200 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on various factors, including experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also eligible for short-term incentives, with amounts varying based on individual and business goals.
