Electrical and Instrumentation Lead

Position Overview:
The Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the electrical and instrumentation sectors within the organization, focusing on enhancing operational efficiencies and minimizing expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the electrical and instrumentation teams to drive improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Deliver technical training to staff to bolster their troubleshooting capabilities.
- Conduct safety audits and foster a culture of safety within the workplace.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and control challenges to reduce operational downtime.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience in maintenance within a sawmill or similar industrial environment.
- Previous supervisory experience with a focus on safety leadership.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance strategies and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent team-building and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of financial metrics relevant to mill operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Practical electrical expertise in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Codes, OSHA regulations, and PLC programming.
