We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Design Engineer to join our team at Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI). As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for the conceptual, preliminary, and final detailed design of new, upgraded, and expanded substations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver physical, electrical, civil, and communication design studies, calculations, drawings, exhibits, and specifications.
- Assist in the execution of best-in-class projects, including coordination, quality control, and oversight of designers, drafters, and support staff.
- Collaborate with subject matter expert discipline groups, such as Distribution Studies, Transmission Studies, Grounding Studies, Protection, Civil Engineering, Communication, and Transmission & Distribution Engineering.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, and maintain a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of design engineering experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization and planning skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Commitment to quality and accuracy.
