Position Summary:

We are in search of a knowledgeable and meticulous Buyer specializing in healthcare procurement. This pivotal role is essential for sustaining effective purchasing operations and guaranteeing that our healthcare institution is equipped with the requisite medical and non-medical supplies to deliver outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the Workday ERP System Financial Module and a robust background in healthcare purchasing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the procurement cycle for medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and services in accordance with the facility's requirements and financial limitations.
  • Leverage the Workday ERP System Financial Module to manage purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and nurture supplier partnerships.
  • Perform market analysis and assess supplier performance to ensure economical and high-quality procurement.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to anticipate supply demands and formulate procurement strategies.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze procurement data and trends to uncover opportunities for cost reductions and process enhancements.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues, including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Maintain precise records of purchases, contracts, and vendor interactions within the Workday system.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in a healthcare purchasing environment with the capability to analyze pricing and costs across a diverse range of products and services.
  • Prior experience with computerized purchasing and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to evaluate purchase history and cost variances to comprehend usage changes.
  • Strong grasp of healthcare supply chain requirements and procurement best practices.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis, report generation, contract review, and informed purchasing decisions.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
