Job Description

The Hotel Zamora is a luxury boutique hotel that boasts Mediterranean-inspired architecture, stunning views of the Intracoastal Waterway, and top-notch amenities. Our hotel is also home to Castile Restaurant, which serves dishes inspired by the flavors of the world's most exciting coastal seaports, highlighting products from surrounding farms and fishing areas. We invite guests to relax, rejuvenate, escape everyday life, and experience intuitive service in our Rooftop Lounge, Pool, and Meeting/Banquet space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests at the door and seat them in a friendly, professional, and quick manner.
  • Present clean menus to guests and inform them of any specials.
  • Treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction and strive to exceed their expectations.
  • Run the floor plan board and observe tables to keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
  • Take guest information and quote wait times to guests accurately when tables are not immediately available.
  • Clean, organize, and stock menus at the host area.
  • Answer phone calls and answer questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
  • Interact with guests as they arrive and as they leave the restaurant to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Maintain specific side-work and ensure the cleanliness and smooth operation of the restaurant.
  • Quickly clear and reset tables.
  • Maintain restaurant, bar, and restroom space cleanliness, including sweeping the foyer and front entrance area frequently.
  • Fulfill to-go orders, if applicable.
  • Know when to escalate situations for management intervention.
  • Complete other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs.
Requirements
  • Previous hotel/hospitality or related service industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multilingual environment.
  • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates.
  • Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel.
