Job Overview

Position Title: Part-Time Finance Support Specialist

Reports to: Director of Administration

Work Schedule: 15 hours per week

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $20-$22 per hour

The Part-Time Finance Support Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting the finance department with daily accounting operations. This position entails managing financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing essential support for timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Management: Accurately record financial transactions using accounting software, including accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
  • Record Maintenance: Ensure financial records and documentation are kept accurate and current.
  • Reporting Assistance: Contribute to the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and statements.
  • Invoice Processing: Manage invoices, track payments, and handle related correspondence.
  • Reconciliation Support: Aid in reconciling bank statements and internal records for accuracy.
  • Data Entry: Execute data entry tasks to support financial operations and audits.
  • Compliance Assurance: Maintain adherence to organizational policies and relevant regulations.
  • Bank Transactions: Regularly deposit checks to the organization's financial institutions.
  • Customer Support: Assist internal and external stakeholders with financial inquiries.
  • Additional Tasks: Support other accounting-related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
