The International Code Council (ICCSafe) is seeking a Systems Analysis Specialist to enhance our team. In this capacity, you will collaborate with various stakeholders throughout the organization to refine and improve our systems and operational processes. This position is integral to finance operations and enjoys significant visibility within the organization.

As a Systems Analysis Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include working closely with stakeholders to gather, assess, and document intricate business requirements, translating them into functional specifications. You will also identify opportunities for process enhancements, devise strategic solutions, and spearhead implementations in accordance with best practices and industry standards.

To excel in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, finance, or a related discipline, along with 3-5 years of experience in a Systems Analysis role or a comparable position. Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills are essential, as is proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems and other financial software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize ERP systems and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with users and stakeholders on initiatives aimed at streamlining finance operations, pinpointing areas for process modification and development.
  • Gather business requirements and convert them into technical specifications for solution development.
  • Analyze and document complex processes and data flows utilizing visual flow-charting tools.
  • Generate reports, timelines, and graphics to effectively communicate project progress or objectives to management.
  • Identify patterns and trends to propose solutions or strategies for business challenges and new initiatives.
  • Oversee and participate in user acceptance testing and validation.
  • Develop user training materials and provide guidance on system functionalities.
  • Assist all departments and subsidiaries that request analytical support.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business, finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Systems Analysis Specialist or in a similar capacity.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Great Plains and/or Dynamics 365 Finance, is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels and with cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to articulate and simplify complex financial processes clearly.
  • Solid understanding of requirements gathering, analysis, and design methodologies.
  • Good grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in project and change management.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting or programming languages for process automation and business workflows is advantageous.
  • Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and financial reporting software is beneficial.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
