Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

Cadrex Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to design and implement efficient, cost-effective production processes and methodologies that align with product specifications and quality benchmarks. This role involves recommending and executing enhancements to manufacturing workflows, as well as overseeing the launch of new or modified products.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Formulate manufacturing processes by analyzing product requirements; conducting research, designing, modifying, and testing production methods and equipment; collaborating with equipment suppliers.
  • Assess current manufacturing processes and workflows to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Execute process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and manage projects effectively.
  • Enhance manufacturing techniques and procedures to achieve cost savings, elevate quality, and boost efficiency.
  • Draft and present strategic plans for process improvements and oversee implementation, including team training.
  • Conduct research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, focusing on production flow, assembly techniques, and equipment.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive layouts of facilities and machinery.
  • Facilitate the manufacturing launch of new or revised products, setting objectives, training team members, and assessing outcomes.
  • Establish processes and protocols to assist the organization in achieving budgetary targets and performance metrics.
  • Develop an effective and efficient workflow sequence.
  • Innovate solutions to existing manufacturing challenges.
  • Design, develop, and evaluate various tools, fixtures, machinery, and equipment to support recommended manufacturing practices.
  • Conduct product/process evaluations for cost reduction, quality enhancement, safety improvements, and training opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in computer usage as required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Capable of completing necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibrations, with occasional risks of electrical shock. The noise level in the workplace is typically moderate, with instances of elevated noise.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, communicate, and hear. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
