Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team at DAIKIN COMFORT TECHNOLOGIES DIST INC. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing sales and building customer loyalty with our COD House Accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Growth: Increase sales of HVAC products to smaller accounts, including commercial accounts, for prospective and established customers.
  • Account Management: Plan, organize, maintain, develop, and grow a volume-driven and profitable base of ~50 Inside Sales Key Accounts.
  • Account Graduation: Nurture and develop Key Accounts to the point where their sales volume, rate of growth, and interest in partnership warrants graduating them to an outside Territory Sales Manager.
  • Account Backfilling: Backfill Inside Sales Key Accounts from the region's House Account list when an account is graduated to a Territory Sales Manager.
  • Sales Revenue and Gross Margin: Maintain and improve sales revenue and gross margin.
  • Dealer Recruitment and Development: Effectively recruit new dealers, train, support, and develop their business.
  • Proposal Development: Develop proposals for presentation to prospective customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain customer relationships with customer decision makers and support personnel through proactive communication.
  • CRM Management: Update and maintain customer and sales information in CRM.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the corporate office staff and the field sales organization.
  • Market Intelligence: Obtain and provide local market intelligence and feedback to the Sales Manager.
  • Business Planning: Develop annual business plans in conjunction with the Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year and will focus the Sales Associate on meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of sales experience, with HVAC experience preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Skills: Strong abilities to educate and influence partners on HVAC products and programs, excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, analytical skills to forecast channel sales and results, and proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-disciplined individual, ability to manage a territory from a home-office base, and willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
