We are seeking part-time and per diem Recreational Activities Coordinators to become integral members of our dedicated care team at Athena Health Care Systems.

As a Recreational Activities Coordinator, you will assist the Director in the planning, organization, development, and execution of the overall operations within the Activities Department.

No prior experience required

Key Responsibilities:

Aid in the planning and provision of resident care by regularly visiting to assess individual needs. Document and communicate any unusual or significant observations to the nursing team. Motivate residents to engage in daily activities that enhance their physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. Dedicate your time to interacting with residents rather than with other facility personnel. Support the establishment of resident care objectives in collaboration with the entire therapeutic team.

Essential Qualifications:

Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when necessary. Must be capable of interacting tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public. Must be knowledgeable about the Privacy Rule and ensure compliance with facility privacy policies and procedures. Must demonstrate leadership skills and a willingness to work collaboratively with both professional and non-professional staff. Must exhibit patience, tact, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm, while being adaptable to residents' varying maturity levels. Must be open to exploring new methods and principles and integrating them into existing practices. Must be able to convey information regarding a resident's condition effectively. Must engage in ongoing education and in-service training.
