As a Recreational Activities Coordinator, you will support the Director in the planning, organization, development, and execution of the overall operations of the Activities Department.
No prior experience required
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning and provision of resident care by regularly visiting residents to assess their needs. Document and communicate any unusual or significant observations to the nursing staff. Encourage residents to engage in daily activities that promote their physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. Spend your working hours interacting with residents rather than with other facility personnel. Collaborate with the therapeutic team to establish and follow through on resident care objectives.Essential Qualifications:
Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language. Must have the ability to make independent decisions when necessary. Must be capable of interacting tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public. Must be knowledgeable about the Privacy Rule and ensure compliance with facility privacy policies and procedures. Must demonstrate leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively with both professional and non-professional staff. Must possess patience, tact, a positive attitude, and enthusiasm, and be willing to engage with residents at their current level of functioning. Must be open to exploring new methods and principles and integrating them into existing practices. Must be able to communicate information regarding a resident's condition effectively.
