About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ramp Lead to join our team at PrimeFlight Aviation Services. As a Ramp Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities on the airport ramp, ensuring efficient and safe handling of aircraft and ground services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of ramp personnel to ensure safe and efficient handling of aircraft and ground services.
  • Manage the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
  • Communicate with flight crews, ground staff, and operations control to coordinate timely aircraft turnarounds.
  • Make quick decisions and solve problems in fast-paced and challenging situations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures, and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ramp operations or a similar role in the aviation industry.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of ramp procedures, safety regulations, and airport operations.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets.
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen.
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable).
