Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Protective Services Worker to join our Mobile Unit team. As a key member of our team, you will engage with children, families, and caregivers to ensure the safety and well-being of Oregon's most vulnerable populations.

About the Role:

This position requires a strong commitment to equity, cultural competence, and trauma-informed practice. You will travel across the state to provide support and coverage for Child Protective Services Workers, conducting assessments, and making decisions that prioritize the safety and well-being of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and fact-finding interviews to determine child safety and risk of abuse or neglect.
  • Develop and implement safety plans that prioritize the needs of children and families.
  • Collaborate with diverse populations, including families, caregivers, and community partners, to ensure effective case management and support.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless case management and coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices in child welfare.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field.
  • One year of experience in human services, preferably in child welfare or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to travel across the state, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in technology, including computer systems and databases.
