Mail Specialist for Child Support

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mail Specialist to join our team at the State of Oregon. As a Mail Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Child Support Program by processing and managing mail and documents related to child support cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and update participant information in our database
  • Process and manage mail and documents related to child support cases
  • Initiate and receive phone calls to gather missing or update information for participants
  • Assist walk-in visitors and narrate case information as needed
  • Associate non-barcode documents to child support cases
  • Accept over-the-counter child support payments
  • Identify, investigate, and verify information such as social security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employers, assets, or other income
Requirements
  • Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents
  • An Associate degree in any field
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check

  • Ability to accurately keyboard at 40+ wpm
