About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Manager to join our Dynamic Audit Resourcing Team (DART) at Capital One. As a member of DART, you will be responsible for conducting operational audits across various business areas, including Card, Commercial Bank, Retail Bank, and Financial Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, perform, and lead audits of Capital One business operations, including identifying and defining issues, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key business partners, including technology, compliance, and finance teams.
  • Design and perform audit procedures, including assessing business risks, identifying key controls, and performing risk-based testing.
  • Effectively communicate audit process scope, protocol, issues, risks, and recommendations in written reports and oral presentations to clients.
  • Assess the relevance of audit findings, potential exposures, materiality, improving or deteriorating trends, and demonstrate awareness of big picture issues.
  • Manage timely and quality delivery of audit work, including successfully meeting deadlines and responding to changes in assignment and job responsibility.
  • Supervise and coordinate work assignments amongst audit team members, providing timely feedback and coaching to audit staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in auditing, compliance, risk management, or a combination.
  • At least 2 years of experience in leading audits and performing in the role of auditor-in-charge.
  • Preferred qualifications include Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Bank Auditor (CBA).
