Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee PLC programming and hardware integration, managing modifications to control and HMI hardware/software.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing technicians and maintenance personnel.
  • Lead the design and implementation of automation enhancements.
  • Assist in electrical and electronic troubleshooting and repair of industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers to identify and implement solutions for process reliability in automation and power distribution.
  • Develop enhanced control algorithms for process management, automation, and safety.
  • Create and maintain process documentation and instructions.
  • Support new designs and maintenance concerning parts selection, inventory management, and care.

This position may be filled at either the Electrical Engineer or Principal Electrical Engineer level based on the qualifications outlined below.

Basic Qualifications for an Electrical Engineer:

  • 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM field; or 0 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems, electrical control systems, PID controls, motors, and motor drives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Salary Range: $81,000 - $121,600

The above salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the scope and responsibilities of the position, as well as the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay, with annual bonuses designed to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may qualify for Long Term Incentives.
