Job OverviewAs a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to arriving, departing, and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.
Responsibilities- Greet and complete established check-in procedures for arriving guests.
- Facilitate guest departure (check-out) by following established procedures.
- Calculate and post receipts and guest accounts using cash handling methods.
- Answer inquiries and accept reservations by communicating hotel rates and using suggestive selling techniques.
- Maintain good customer relations by keeping abreast of in-house and area functions.
- Operate PBX equipment, assisting with calls and scheduling wake-up calls.
- Control cash transactions at the front desk.
- Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.
To be successful as a Front Desk Agent, you will need:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience is required, but a high school level mathematical aptitude and knowledge of cash handling procedures are essential.
- Experience in dealing directly with the public and basic customer service skills.
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- Ability to use tact and understanding in customer service situations.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
