Sage Hospitality Group is seeking a Front Desk Agent to join our team at The Westin Washington City Center, a modern, luxury hotel in the heart of downtown Washington D.C.

Job Overview

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to arriving, departing, and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and complete established check-in procedures for arriving guests.
  • Facilitate guest departure (check-out) by following established procedures.
  • Calculate and post receipts and guest accounts using cash handling methods.
  • Answer inquiries and accept reservations by communicating hotel rates and using suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maintain good customer relations by keeping abreast of in-house and area functions.
  • Operate PBX equipment, assisting with calls and scheduling wake-up calls.
  • Control cash transactions at the front desk.
  • Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.
Qualifications

To be successful as a Front Desk Agent, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent.
  • No prior experience is required, but a high school level mathematical aptitude and knowledge of cash handling procedures are essential.
  • Experience in dealing directly with the public and basic customer service skills.
  • Fluent in oral and written English.
  • Ability to use tact and understanding in customer service situations.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
