Our client is a prestigious luxury carpet company, boasting over 80 years of industry expertise. They are renowned for providing exquisite custom carpets and rugs to discerning designers.

Role Summary:

The Assistant Showroom Manager is instrumental in driving sales growth, fostering exceptional client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence. This position is tailored for proactive individuals with experience in luxury sales, a deep understanding of carpets and rugs, and familiarity with the design trade. Successful candidates will exhibit enthusiasm, creativity, resilience, self-motivation, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Set a strong example by achieving and surpassing personal sales targets, significantly contributing to the showroom's overall success.
  • Effectively engage with potential clients, enhancing sales strategies and maintaining a client-focused approach.
  • Provide expert guidance on product selection by accurately assessing client needs, ensuring a priority on client satisfaction.

Client Engagement and Sales Development:

  • Devise and implement strategies to cultivate and sustain robust client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and concerns, striving for swift resolutions that align with both team and personal sales objectives.
  • Leverage technology to improve client communication and relationship management, streamlining sales processes and enhancing client interaction.

Cultural and Sales Advocacy:

  • Embody and promote the firm's mission, vision, and values, emphasizing sales excellence, creativity, and superior client service.
  • Encourage a collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement and sales achievement, ensuring all team members are motivated and equipped to meet sales goals.
  • Mentor and support showroom staff, highlighting the significance of sales performance through personalized coaching and the use of technology to enhance sales efficiency.

Showroom Management:

  • Oversee daily showroom operations, ensuring alignment with the firm's standards and contributing to overall sales success.
  • Champion the integration of technology in the showroom to boost operational and sales efficiency, ensuring a seamless client experience.

Qualifications:

  • B.A. / B.S. Degree in Interior Design or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience within the trade.
  • Prior experience in sales leadership is advantageous.
  • A strong interest in the interior design sector, coupled with excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to facilitate effective teamwork.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, combining strong communication with a comprehensive understanding of business needs, while being assertive yet empathetic.
  • A thorough understanding of sales strategies and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 annually

Base salary is commensurate with experience, with eligibility for additional sales commissions and/or incentive bonuses.
