Position Reports to: Commercial Manager Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Overview

The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in managing custom label requests.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include:

  1. Sales Order Processing:

    Examine customer purchase orders for label specifications such as size, quantity, material, color choices, copy placement, packaging, delivery guidelines, and custom requirements. Address any discrepancies with the customer and input orders into the computerized system.

  2. Order Expediting:

    Analyze all relevant details on the Sales Order and relay accurate information to production teams. Conduct daily reviews of the Open Order Report and maintain communication with supervisors across production areas.

  3. Customer Relationship Development:

    Establish and nurture business relationships with customers, acting as the intermediary between the customer and the sales team.

  4. Price Communication:

    Inform customers of pricing and keep the sales team updated on all customer-related activities.

  5. Quality Management:

    Log Quality Defect Reports into the database and notify the sales team of customer complaints, while issuing instructions for credit memos and billing adjustments to the Accounting Department.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand detailed instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Capability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, sales personnel, management, and other employees.
  • Proficiency in interpreting documents such as safety regulations, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Competence in interpreting a wide variety of technical instructions in various forms.

Work Environment:

Assigned to a modular workstation in an office setting, the employee may occasionally navigate through the plant and may be exposed to ink vapors. The noise level in the work environment can range from quiet to loud.
