POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves a diverse range of responsibilities associated with the origination of residential mortgage loans, including the generation of self-sourced referrals through various networking avenues.

This position is accountable for achieving the standards, objectives, and targets established by management for loan origination and cross-selling the bank's products and services.

The individual will oversee the mortgage loan process from application through to closing.



ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven expertise in residential conventional and government mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing protocols.
  • Prior experience in mortgage sales is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • NMLS registration is mandatory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and nurture referral relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other professionals for mortgage loan opportunities.
  • Engage in industry associations and networking groups, as well as participate in Republic Bank-sponsored events to promote our mortgage lending services.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of prospects, clients, and referral partners using Republic Bank's CRM software.
  • Conduct client interviews to gather pertinent information regarding their financial situations, needs, and objectives.
  • Advise clients on current and future financial needs to help them achieve their goals.
  • Educate clients about the home buying process, financing options, and effective mortgage management strategies.
  • Guide clients through the loan process from application to closing.
  • Stay informed about available loan products, processing protocols, and underwriting standards, ensuring timely collection of necessary documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, providing timely updates and progress reports to both applicants and internal support teams.
  • Manage a pipeline of all originated loans through to closing.
  • Implement effective marketing strategies to meet or exceed mortgage production targets.
  • Participate in all required mortgage lender meetings and training sessions.
  • Understand Republic Bank's credit culture to present suitable credit applications for approval.
  • Maintain awareness of compliance requirements relevant to the role and proactively learn about new regulations.
  • Exemplify and promote behaviors that align with the Bank's values and corporate culture, fostering an environment of trust, cooperation, and accountability.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
