Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Rounding Nurse to join our team at Duke Health. The successful candidate will provide support and education to nursing staff to optimize care for patients with a wide variety of behavioral needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral health support and education to nursing staff to optimize care for patients with behavioral needs.
  • Respond to consultation requests from nursing staff and provide behavioral health expertise.
  • Lead behavioral emergency responses and provide support to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Document patient care and outcomes in accordance with Duke Health policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited BSN program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • BLS certification.
  • One year of RN experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in behavioral health or a related field.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
