About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Financial Readiness Specialist to join our team at the Wounded Warrior Project. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to empower wounded veterans and their families to achieve financial stability and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive financial education programs and services to support wounded service members and their families.
  • Manage a caseload of financial readiness cases, maintaining accurate records and providing individualized support to clients.
  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors to provide financial education and guidance to our clients.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to ensure the effectiveness of our financial education services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our clients, ensuring a positive and empowering experience.
Requirements
  • Four years of experience in financial counseling, financial education, or personal financial management services.
  • Two years of experience working with military or veteran populations.
  • Proficiency in personal financial management principles and the ability to provide clear explanations on methods for improvement.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment in crisis situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience with Salesforce.
  • Two years of experience working with an event/planning scheduling system.
  • Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) or Certified Financial Health Counselor (CFHC) certification.
