Position Summary:

The Branch Manager is accountable for delivering exceptional customer service, achieving growth objectives, ensuring operational efficiency, and fostering the development of branch staff. This role involves cultivating and sustaining client relationships while leveraging the full suite of banking services available.

  • Oversees a large and complex branch with core deposits exceeding $60 million or may manage a smaller branch upon obtaining and retaining Small Business Advisor certification, dedicating around 20% of time to managing high-value relationships.
  • Responsible for originating consumer and small business loans up to $250,000.
  • Drives sales and promotional initiatives with creativity and enthusiasm to meet or surpass established goals and quality standards.
  • Facilitates the integrated delivery of financial products and services, including tailored lending and investment management, by referring clients to the appropriate departments.
  • Accountable for the growth activities of the branch, focusing on consumer and small business opportunities based on market potential.
  • Manages the recruitment, performance evaluation, development, promotion, and termination of branch personnel.
  • Mentors and trains all associates in the necessary skills for their respective roles, including expertise in consumer and small business lending.
  • Ensures compliance with operational efficiency and quality standards.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations applicable to the position.
  • May be required to coach or train others and serve as a subject matter expert.

Candidate Profile:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in banking, finance, business, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of supervisory or management experience in retail banking.
  • Active involvement in various community organizations.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with other banking software and office equipment.
  • Demonstrated skills in training and mentoring.
  • Proven sales capabilities.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for managing staff and customer service challenges.
  • Solid understanding of retail banking services and products, with a preference for experience in consumer and small business lending.
  • Compliance with all relevant consumer protection laws and regulations governing loan origination.
  • This position requires acting as a Bank MLO, authorized to assist clients with mortgage loan applications and related activities.
  • This role is limited to open-end transactions only.

Work Environment: This position is fully onsite.

We provide a competitive total rewards package, including base salary and comprehensive benefits. The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000, with the final compensation based on various non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and location. Performance-based incentive compensation may also be available.

Eligible associates receive comprehensive healthcare coverage, a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching, an employee assistance program, life and disability insurance, tuition assistance, mental health resources, identity theft protection, legal support, and various insurance options. Paid time off includes vacation, sick days, volunteer days, and holidays, with benefit eligibility commencing on the first day of the month following the hire date for associates working at least thirty hours per week.
