Position Summary:

The Branch Manager is accountable for delivering exceptional customer service, achieving growth objectives, ensuring operational efficiencies, and nurturing the development of branch associates. This role involves fostering and maintaining client relationships while leveraging the full array of banking services.

  • Oversees a larger, more complex branch with core deposits exceeding $60 million or may manage a smaller branch upon obtaining and retaining Small Business Advisor certification, dedicating around 20% of time to managing high-value relationships.
  • Responsible for originating consumer and small business loans up to $250,000.
  • Executes sales and promotional initiatives with creativity and vigor to meet or surpass established goals and quality standards.
  • Facilitates the integrated delivery of financial services and products, including tailored lending, cash management, and investment management, by directing customers to the appropriate departments.
  • Drives the growth activities of the branch, focusing on consumer and small business opportunities based on market conditions, with expectations for daily and weekly growth initiatives.
  • Manages the recruitment, placement, performance evaluation, development, promotion, and termination of branch associates.
  • Mentors and coaches all associates in acquiring the necessary skills for their respective roles, including expertise in consumer and small business lending.
  • Ensures compliance with operational efficiency, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant banking regulations and compliance standards.
  • May be required to coach, mentor, or train others and provide instruction as a subject matter expert.

Candidate Profile:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in banking, finance, business, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of supervisory or management experience in retail banking.
  • Active involvement in various community organizations.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as other banking software and office equipment.
  • Effective training and mentoring capabilities.
  • Demonstrated sales proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing staff and addressing customer service challenges.
  • Solid understanding of retail banking services and products, with preferred experience in consumer and small business lending origination.
  • Complies with all applicable consumer protection laws governing loan origination.
  • This position requires acting as a Bank MLO, authorized to assist customers with mortgage loan applications and related activities.
  • This role is not authorized to act as a Bank Closed-End MLO, limited to open-end transactions only.

Work Environment: Fully onsite.

We provide a competitive total rewards package, including base salary and comprehensive benefits. The compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000, with the final offer based on various non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location. Performance-based incentive compensation may also be available.
