Position Summary:
We are seeking a CAD Manager who possesses a strong passion for UL508A control panel design and is eager to leverage their expertise in standards and mentorship. This role is ideal for someone looking to elevate their AutoCAD Electrical design career in a supportive environment.
The CAD Manager will be responsible for leading a team of CAD Designers, primarily utilizing AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault for industrial control panel designs. This position involves coordinating the efforts of up to 10 CAD Designers, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to established standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams to design and document electrical schematics, P&IDs, and panel layouts for various projects.
- Develop and uphold CAD standards and procedures, ensuring compliance across the department.
- Enhance productivity through customizations and automated quality checks.
- Provide technical guidance for the efficient transfer of CAD data to production CNC machinery.
- Train internal users on corporate CAD standards, software updates, and best practices to enhance performance.
- Offer technical support for all CAD software utilized within the organization.
- Conduct regular CAD meetings to disseminate new information and updates within the CAD Group.
- Effectively allocate CAD Designer resources to projects, optimizing workload distribution.
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills to foster collaboration and teamwork.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring timely project delivery and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in CAD Technology.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Essential experience in UL508A Control Panel design.
- Preferred servant-leadership approach.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to see, perceive colors, hear, speak clearly, and demonstrate dexterity in hands. Must be able to travel for meetings and projects as necessary.
Work Environment:
Standard office setting with frequent use of personal computers, facsimiles, copy machines, and other office equipment.
