Job Description

MetaOption, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical CAD Manager to lead our CAD department and drive the design and documentation of electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control panel designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and oversight to a team of CAD designers working on AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault projects.
  • Design and Documentation: Support engineering in the design and documentation of electrical schematics, panel layouts, and control panel designs.
  • Procedure Development: Assist in developing and maintaining procedures related to the enforcement of CAD and standards.
  • Productivity Enhancements: Analyze and produce productivity enhancements and customizations, including automated quality checks.
  • Training and Support: Provide technical expertise for the transfer of CAD data to production CNC machines and assist in training internal users on corporate CAD standards, new software, and upgrades.
  • CAD Support: Provide production and technical CAD support for all CAD software.
  • Communication: Hold regular CAD meetings to disseminate new information to the CAD group and schedule CAD designer resources to appropriate jobs.
Requirements:
  • Education: Two-year degree in CAD Technology or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical, with a strong background in UL508A control panel design.
  • Leadership: Servant-leadership attitude and ability to work well with others.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a standard office environment with frequent use of personal computer, facsimile, and copy machines.
