Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Receptionist Patient Advocate to join our team at Myriad Genetics. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service, answering phone calls, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with patients, clinicians, insurers, and Myriad employees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Answer general questions and/or route phone calls to the appropriate Myriad representative.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and faxes in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Participate in the Quality Assurance plan.
  • Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical setting preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
  • Detail oriented, problem solver, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Internet and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Physical Requirements

Lifting Requirements: sedentary work or exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Physical Requirements: stationary positioning, moving, communicating, and observing. Use of equipment and tools that are necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
