Our Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) specializes in the design and manufacture of advanced flight control systems that ensure the safety and reliability of aircraft operations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute design and development tasks related to manufacturing systems and processes, including tools, jigs, and specialized equipment to meet production goals and quality benchmarks.
  • Advise the Plant Manager on alternative manufacturing methods and process enhancements.
  • Leverage the Parker Lean system to foster continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct cost and reliability assessments of various manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Analyze existing tools and methods to identify performance issues and propose redesigns or modifications.
  • Prepare cost estimates and delivery timelines for assigned projects.
  • Lead team-oriented projects with clear accountability structures.
  • Oversee the integration of new equipment, ensuring that manufacturing staff receive adequate training and support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish practical specifications for materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and processes that could enhance manufacturing capabilities.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the scope of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the aerospace sector.
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, actuators, servo-valves, and motors is advantageous.
  • Strong background in Lean methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Certification from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is desirable.
