Key Responsibilities

  • Execute design and development tasks related to manufacturing tools, jigs, and specialized equipment to meet production targets and quality benchmarks.
  • Advise the Plant Manager on alternative manufacturing processes and methods for equipment optimization.
  • Apply the Parker Lean system to foster continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze the cost-effectiveness and reliability of various manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Evaluate existing tools and methods, proposing enhancements through redesign or modification.
  • Estimate project costs and establish realistic delivery timelines.
  • Lead collaborative projects with clear accountability structures.
  • Oversee the integration of new equipment, ensuring proper training for manufacturing staff and preparing detailed layouts and drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define practical specifications for materials, processes, and equipment.
  • Stay informed on advancements in equipment and processes that could enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or as required by responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the aerospace sector.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, actuators, servo-valves, motors, or related technologies is advantageous.
  • Strong background in Lean methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Certification from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
