Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate quality performance metrics using statistical and analytical techniques. Develop and implement complex inspection and testing methodologies to assess the precision and reliability of products and processes.
- Create and establish comprehensive quality systems, inspection plans, and technical quality proposals, ensuring compliance with project documentation requirements.
- Analyze the costs associated with non-compliance of products or materials, conducting thorough statistical evaluations to determine accountability.
- Provide quality insights to product development teams, suggesting enhancements in manufacturability through process reviews and technical assessments.

- Participate in Material Review Board activities, contributing to failure analysis and corrective action investigations.
- Enhance product and process quality through continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
- Act as a liaison with customers and regulatory bodies, coordinating corrective action plans and procedures.
- Maintain professional expertise by engaging in educational opportunities, networking within the industry, and staying updated on best practices.
- Ensure compliance with legal standards by monitoring relevant legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
- Provide mentorship and leadership within the department, setting objectives and metrics for project completion.
- Share specialized knowledge and contribute to team efforts, engaging in cross-functional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in quality engineering, typically gained through four or more years in a similar role.
- Six Sigma Black/Green Belt certification is preferred.
- Certification from the American Society for Quality is desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of modern inspection techniques and quality assurance methodologies.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to implement continuous improvement strategies effectively.
- Proficient in standard business applications and specialized data analysis tools.

- Capability to set and achieve project goals and objectives.
- Experience in project management and scheduling software.

- Competence in data collection and analysis to draw valid conclusions.
