Key Responsibilities
- Execute design and development tasks related to manufacturing tools, jigs, and specialized equipment to meet production goals and quality benchmarks.
- Advise the Plant Manager on alternative manufacturing processes and methodologies.
- Leverage the Parker Lean system to foster continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct cost and reliability assessments of various manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Analyze existing tools and methods to identify performance issues and recommend enhancements through redesign.
- Estimate project costs and develop realistic delivery timelines.
- Lead team-based projects with clear accountability structures.
- Oversee the introduction of new equipment, ensuring proper training for manufacturing staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish practical specifications for materials and processes.
- Stay informed on new technologies and processes that could enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the aerospace sector.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, actuators, servo-valves, or motors is advantageous.
- Strong background in Lean methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Certification from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is preferred.
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
