Key Responsibilities

  • Execute design and development tasks related to manufacturing tools, jigs, and specialized equipment to meet production goals and quality benchmarks.
  • Advise the Plant Manager on alternative manufacturing processes and methodologies.
  • Leverage the Parker Lean system to foster continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct cost and reliability assessments of various manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Analyze existing tools and methods to identify performance issues and recommend enhancements through redesign.
  • Estimate project costs and develop realistic delivery timelines.
  • Lead team-based projects with clear accountability structures.
  • Oversee the introduction of new equipment, ensuring proper training for manufacturing staff.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish practical specifications for materials and processes.
  • Stay informed on new technologies and processes that could enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the aerospace sector.
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, actuators, servo-valves, or motors is advantageous.
  • Strong background in Lean methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Certification from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
