Rental Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary
The Rental Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing customer accounts in their assigned portfolio. Key responsibilities include providing customer service, resolving billing and credit issues, and collaborating with internal business partners to ensure timely payment of outstanding receivables.
Responsibilities
Monitor assigned account portfolios and contact customers for payment information on past-due invoices
Document all collection efforts and determine release of account for current or future business
Resolve billing and customer credit issues and investigate historical data
Identify high-risk accounts and communicate information to management for review and collaborate throughout the collection process
Consistently communicate customer service and collection issues to internal business partners in a timely manner
Verify customer account information is correct and update as needed
Process credit card payments and requests refunds
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Consumer or Commercial collections required, 6+ years preferred
Knowledge of finance and/or accounting procedures, with an understanding of invoices, statements of Accounts Receivables, Payables, and various forms of payment remittances
Extensive knowledge of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act preferred
Knowledge of industry specific risk mitigation tools, multi-state mechanics lien law and payment bonds strongly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated professional, tactful problem-solving skills with personal presence to interface with corporate decision makers
Ability to compile, analyze and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making
Proficient in MS Office with emphasis in Excel
Working Conditions
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside throughout the year
Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting
Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities
Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities
