Position Title: Chief Executive Officer

Overview:

The Buffalo Trace Area Development District (BTADD) is a collaborative planning and development organization dedicated to enhancing community and economic growth across multiple jurisdictions. We are currently in search of a Chief Executive Officer who will oversee the strategic implementation of BTADD's initiatives under the guidance of the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the administration and management of all BTADD operations and services.
  • Promote the principles of multi-county planning to foster regional development.
  • Oversee financial management and reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Make decisions regarding hiring and employee management.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local governments and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison with federal and state agencies, negotiating contracts and partnerships.
  • Implement personnel policies and ensure compliance with established procedures.
  • Represent BTADD at various official functions and industry events.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in public administration, planning, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience. A Master's degree is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate strong administrative and supervisory skills, along with the ability to navigate complex social, economic, and physical landscapes within the region.

  • Strong judgment and diplomatic skills in decision-making.
  • Experience in managing diverse teams and fostering an inclusive environment.
