The Financial Operations Manager will oversee the Collections Department at American Glass Professionals. The Financial Operations Manager needs strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. This role is critical in understanding financial impacts to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Manage the Collections Department's Assignments and Priorities: Oversee the daily operations of the Collections Department, ensuring that all tasks and projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform Weekly Analysis of Current Collections (Current, Past Due) and Report Out to Management on Status: Conduct regular analysis of current collections, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and provide regular updates to management on the status of collections.
  • Consistently Evaluate Current Process and Procedures; Recommend Improvements: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of current processes and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for changes to management.
  • Perform Monthly Financial Analysis of Business Operations: Conduct regular financial analysis of business operations, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and providing recommendations for changes to management.
  • Prepare Corporate Financial Statements in a Timely Fashion: Prepare and submit corporate financial statements in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • In Partnership with the CFO, Create Annual Budgets for the Business: Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to develop and implement annual budgets for the business, ensuring that all financial goals and objectives are met.
  • Provide Relevant Financial Information to Executive Management Team: Provide regular financial updates and analysis to the executive management team, ensuring that they are informed and able to make informed decisions.
  • In Partnership with the Controller, Responsible for Monthly Financial Close Process: Collaborate with the Controller to ensure the timely and accurate completion of the monthly financial close process, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Perform Other Related Duties as Requested by the Chief Financial Officer: Perform other related duties as requested by the Chief Financial Officer, ensuring that all tasks and projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Required Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, or finance, with a minimum of 5 years of experience; OR a relevant Master's degree with five years of experience.
    • Ability to create and manage corporate budgets.
    • Excellent managerial skills.
    • Proven experience as a Financial Manager or similar role.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, strong IT focus.
    • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Required to stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salaried position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Work Authorization:

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. All offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory results of a thorough background check and drug screen. Successful results of a background check are at the sole discretion of AGP.
