Salary Information
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience.
Job DescriptionRole Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to support our Human Resources function, ensuring it meets the needs of both the business and our associates. The ideal candidate will have experience in associate relations, HR specific training, compliance, policy development, and data management.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure consistent application of Company HR policies.
- Coach associates and management through complex issues, providing guidance on disciplinary action and assisting with investigations.
- Oversee MyOpportunity for hourly recruitment and onboarding.
- Maintain and coordinate associate recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Analyze HR activity reports.
- Support internal customer survey and associate engagement survey interpretation/feedback process.
- Attend department manager meetings to increase HR visibility, conduct classroom training, and implement HR initiatives.
- Review requests for pay increases or status changes to ensure internal equity and consistency.
- Presents HR-related topics and other training.
- Serve as diversity champion, leading tasks and corporate activities, including diversity recruiting, retention, and promotion goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
- Three plus years human resources generalist experience required; management experience a plus.
- HR experience at a large, multi-unit organization required.
- Previous experience handling HR functions within unionized settings, including collective bargaining and labor relations is preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; advanced skills preferred.
- Strong presentation skills required.
- Training certification a plus (e.g., Zenger-Miller, Stephen Covey).
