Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Direct Support Professional. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the community while advancing your skillsets in human services.

About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional, your primary responsibility will be to support individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings, including residential and day programs. You will assist with activities of daily living, develop and implement goals set in the individuals' ISP, ensure safety protocols are implemented, and participate as a member of the program's team working with clinical and management staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living, such as personal care and household tasks.
  • Develop and implement goals set in the individuals' ISP, ensuring that each person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are implemented within the home and community, creating a safe and healthy environment for our clients.
  • Participate as a member of the program's team working with clinical and management staff to provide comprehensive support to our clients.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer and internet literacy, with the ability to utilize applications like emails, time recording, and other programs to enter and retrieve data as necessary.
  • Prior experience in the Human Services field is preferred but not required.
