Job Summary:

Your role as a Support Specialist contributes to our mission by providing community-based support and training to adults with I/DD and Autism, helping them maintain and develop independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strict adherence to program model, including clinical, programmatic, and quality protocols.
  • Exercising strong clinical judgment in observing, supporting, and resourcing individuals.
  • Teaching and reinforcing activities of daily living, such as medication management, hygiene, and safety.
  • Implementing and developing program activities to reinforce and develop skills.
  • Maintaining programmatic documentation and providing accurate communication to supervisors.
  • Delivering supports and services in a culturally sensitive and responsive manner.
  • Providing specialized training and instruction to individuals and coworkers.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Medication administration certification required.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs and provide emergency physical intervention.
  • Prevent training certification required.
  • Current driver's license and safe driving record.
