We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to lead our Business Development team within the C4ISR Systems business area for the Electronic Systems (ES) sector at BAE Systems USA.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, establish, and nurture strategic relationships within the markets where we operate.
- Provide actionable market intelligence to business leaders.
- Grow the orders pipeline through the creation, identification, and qualification of quality opportunities.
- Develop and execute capture strategies for strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with the C4ISR Systems Business Area Leadership team to develop growth strategies.
- Execute multiple marketing approaches.
- Collaborate on product and technical roadmaps across both Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD accounts.
- Manage a geographically dispersed Business Development team.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of success in Business Development, Program Management, or within the US Military, with at least 7 years of experience in a similar leadership role.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of how our products are used by our customers from a mission perspective.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Availability for domestic and international travel as required.
- Success in leading a diverse and geographically distributed high-performing team.
- Experience designing and executing large business area strategies and associated campaigns.
- Existing customer and industry relationships.
- Experience selling and winning in the IC, DoD, and international markets.
