About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Accounting to join our extremely high growth, NASDAQ-listed company in the Bitcoin mining industry. This individual must be able to manage a team of accountants, understand and communicate to executives the consolidated results of multiple subsidiaries, have strong experience with ERP systems, and understand complex accounting transactions. This role will report directly to the VP Accounting.

Essential Functions
  • Accounting for complex transactions and accounting issues
  • Consolidation of multiple subsidiaries
  • Accounting for and assisting with the integration of acquisitions and other types of investments
  • Developing a deep understanding of the consolidated financials and ability to explain them to executives on at least a quarterly basis
  • Close interaction and coordination with the FP&A team
  • Maintaining effective controls around accounting processes
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements across accounting and finance areas
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient technical accounting skills and thorough understanding of US GAAP
  • Highly proficient with ERP systems, such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
  • Ability to effectively manage and develop a team
  • Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Take initiative, define problems, collect and analyze data, and draw valid conclusions on one's own
  • Perform duties that require strong analytical, research, communication, and organizational skills
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset with the desire for ad hoc projects
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting
  • CPA (required)
  • Public accounting experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in public accounting and in the accounting department of a public company
