Job Overview

Minimum Qualifications:

· A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in the development, implementation, or evaluation of human services, sociology, public health, healthcare services, or insurance programs, alongside a bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related educational field.

OR

· An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes at least one (1) year of professional experience in the aforementioned areas.

· Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.

Key Responsibilities:

· The Financial Representative leverages knowledge and field experience acquired from administrative roles and human services management.

· Projects assigned are diverse, ranging from short-term to long-term, requiring a flexible and adaptive approach.

· High proficiency in utilizing, interpreting, and analyzing information from the Department's software, systems, databases, and internet/extranet is essential.

· May involve training and troubleshooting for both internal and external stakeholders regarding the aforementioned systems.

· Responds to inquiries from various departmental units, external entities, and families/applicants, both verbally and in writing.

· Coordinates the development and maintenance of information technology to support program operations and monitor tracking systems.

· Reviews and suggests modifications to program manuals and materials based on policy updates.

· Develops and updates forms, reports, and files as necessary.

· Coordinates data collection to prepare comprehensive reports.

· May assist in provider recruitment, enrollment, disenrollment, and outreach initiatives.

· Responsible for monitoring, reviewing, researching, and reconciling billing and payment discrepancies affecting both consumers and providers.

· Ensures the accuracy of existing payments and updates them in the systems as required.

· May monitor financial and billing issues related to service provision under the Medical Assistance Program, assisting in evaluating and analyzing the effectiveness of special program initiatives.

· Responsible for ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements under state and federal regulations, as well as recommending and drafting state survey findings based on non-compliance.

· Identifies systemic issues, proposes resolutions, and collaborates with relevant Department offices for implementation.

· Assists with project development tasks on new and untested initiatives assigned to the unit.

· Gathers and organizes diverse program and technical long-term care information for executive staff to utilize in public forums and to address inquiries from other states and agencies.

· May participate in fair hearing preparations.

· Engages in training sessions, meetings, and conferences on behalf of the Bureau as assigned.

· Assists in tracking information, reviewing reports, and preparing documentation for supervisors, CMS, and the Agency as needed.

· May oversee program enrollment, funding, and effectiveness.

· Performs other related duties as required.
