Position Summary:

We are in search of a meticulous Senior Accountant with a robust background in finance to enhance our financial operations. This role involves scrutinizing financial documents, generating reports, and ensuring adherence to applicable regulations. Responsibilities also include managing the general ledger, aiding in audits, and fostering improvements in financial systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process Management:
  • Establish and uphold accounting policies and procedures
  • Design and supervise inventory management frameworks
  • Guarantee compliance with established policies
  • Oversee employee benefits administration
Transaction Oversight:
  • Ensure timely processing of accounts payable
  • Reconcile intercompany financial balances
  • Manage payroll operations
  • Conduct bank reconciliations
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and the accounting filing system
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and issue financial statements
  • Develop General Ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Provide insightful financial metrics and analyses
  • Report on budget discrepancies
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Manage local, state, and federal reporting and tax obligations
  • Support financial and regulatory audits
  • Calculate sales and property tax obligations
Additional Duties:
  • Assist with various accounting tasks as required
  • Complete onboarding and offboarding checklists

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and service cost analysis

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory
  • A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience is preferred
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks (Premier or Enterprise) and inventory management is essential
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is required
  • Prior experience at the audit or controller level is advantageous
